11/01/2011 - Jackson Associates Perimeter location is an official drop location for Toys For Tots

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

This year Jackson Associates is an official drop location for Toys For Tots, but that's not all. Through December 19, 2011, bring a new, unwrapped toy to our front desk and you'll be entered into a drawing for $100.

The winner will be announced December 20th on this page and on our Facebook page.

8/14//2011 - Boston Renovation Complete

You ask; we deliver. Jackson Associates has renovated its Boston facility to include a large focus room and tiered viewing room capable of seating up to 12 clients. With dual viewing and Instant Update you never need to wonder what’s going on. Still flexible enough to accommodate large displays and creative rooms, this newly refurbished facility easily accommodates focus groups, in-depth interviews and jury studies. 04/25/2011 - Perimeter Renovation Complete

Our Midtown Atlanta focus facility got such raves we decided to renovate our Perimeter facility as well. With an expanded commercial kitchen that is nearly 1000 square feet, our new look has already “wowed” our clients. Bright, airy and spacious, our Perimeter facility still offers the same flexibility as always but in today’s colors and with tomorrow’s technology.

04/05/2011 - Remembering Margaret (Hicks) Feit, 1945-2011

Margaret Feit Marisa Pope, CEO and President of Jackson Associates, sadly acknowledges the passing of her friend and mentor, Margaret (Hicks) Feit, MRA member and active owner and president of Jackson Associates from 1983 to 2006. Margaret passed away peacefully on April 4, 2011 after having recently suffered a massive brain hemorrhage.

Although Margaret left the profession in 2006, her impact on our industry will always be remembered. She was a visionary and entrepreneur, and she was instrumental in transforming the design and functionality of qualitative research facilities throughout our industry. In 1992 she opened a 20,000 square foot facility in Atlanta, the size and scope of which was unprecedented. It was a facility so well-designed it has undergone only minor modifications in almost 20 years.

Throughout the nineties she worked diligently to build the business, and Jackson eventually had a presence across seven locations in the Southeast. She had an uncanny ability to see future trends in research. Just before the mall intercept landscape shifted from locally operated offices to national chains, Margaret made the decision to pull out of intercept and focus Jackson’s considerable talent on its qualitative endeavors in Atlanta.

As for Margaret’s personal interests, she was an avid baseball fan, and for years she enjoyed and generously shared season tickets to Atlanta Braves games with clients and staff. She also amassed a museum-quality collection of blown glass ornaments that adorned her home throughout various seasons. Some ornaments remained on display year-round, and a visit to Margaret’s home during the Christmas season was a magical sight to behold.

Above all, Margaret cared for her family. She is survived by her husband Mark, her children, Shelley Avant and David Smith, their spouses, 6 grandchildren, and her sister, Ann Horner.

Margaret was a mentor and a friend to many still working at Jackson Associates and in marketing research, and she will be missed.

12/21/2010 - Atlanta Community Food Drive winner announced

Join us in congratulating respondent Jane Grover from Grayson, GA, who won a $100 gift card for participating in our holiday food drive to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Thanks to all who donated goods to this worthy cause. With your help, Jackson Associates collected 445 lbs. of food totaling approximately $700.00. Your contributions will assist many in need during the holiday season.

10/21/10 - Bittersweet Changes to Our Core Team

We'll start with the sad ... it is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved Tiffany Woodward, who has been an integral part of our team for 12 years, has left to pursue a different journey. She and her husband have exciting opportunities ahead and we wish her much happiness and success in all her endeavors. We are also secretly rooting for her eventual return!

Now for the GOOD - please join us in congratulating Kelly Gray in her promotion to Vice President. Kelly will be assisting Marisa and Melisa with project estimates and with business development while maintaining her current role of overseeing Client Services for our two Atlanta offices. WHEW!

06/11/2010 - Marisa Pope receives MRA's 2010 Distinguished Service Award

Each year, the Marketing Research Association recognizes one member to receive the Distinguished Service Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize the extensive and distinguished service of an individual to both the Marketing Research Association and to the opinion and marketing research profession.

Join us in congratulating Marisa for being this year's recipient of the MRA's Distinguished Service Award. Marisa has devoted countless volunteer hours over the past 20 years. She is currently serving on the MRA Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large and worked on the Education Workgroup for four years, holding the Chair position for two years.

In addition to this year's recognition, Marisa received the 2005 Chapter Service Award for the Atlanta/Southeast Chapter and in 2006 received the MRA Shining Star Award.

05/10/2010 - Congrats to Candice Pratt, promoted to Call Center Director

Candice Pratt has been promoted to Call Center Director and will be overseeing all respondent recruiting for our Atlanta offices.

A five-year Jackson veteran,, Candice has successfully fulfilled roles as Project Supervisor and Project Director. We are thrilled to have her directly overseeing Atlanta respondent recruitment.

03/01/2010 - Kelly Gray is promoted to Director of Client Services

Most you already know Kelly as a successful project director. We are pleased for her to be overseeing our Atlanta Client Services operations.
For those who don't know her, Kelly exhibits a strong drive, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, an upbeat attitude and the ability to find innovative solutions to challenging issues.

A Rhode Island native, Kelly graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Sales and Meeting Management from Johnson and Wales University. In addition to her extensive knowledge of marketing research, she has experience restaurant management and hotel sales.

Located in our new Boston facility, Jackson Associates Quant (JAQ) provides high quality, affordable sensory and user testing and delivers the same level of expertise, creativity and service our Atlanta facilities do.

Equipped with four ovens and 16 burners, more than enough refigeration and feezer space, 24 feet of stainless steel prep area and ample storage, our Test kitchen can handle every projects' needs. Our sensory lab has room for up to 40 computer stations or can be configured into a creative space or ideation room and offers clients viewing in the conference room adjacent . Our in-depth IDI/mini group room is spacious enough to seat six comfortably, and also offers virtual viewing on a 52" plasma screen.

Amanda Scheiner, trained at Jackson Associates Atlanta, manages this site and oversees all aspects of recruitment and onsite services.
